Sheila Crabb Dip.Couns - Waythrough Counselling

I have a L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB) and as I trained on a counselling course which was Integrative, the counselling that I offer will be tailored to your needs and the issues you experience. I am an Accredited & Registered Counsellor.

I have also trained to become a Freedom Programme Facilitator.
Counselling centres on listening to you as a client and to enable you to talk about a difficulty and to explore a way forward and is one where you set the agenda and talk about whatever is troubling you in a warm, non-judgemental, accepting environment and the sessions are a way of creating space in your life to attend to issues, which may involve:

Emotional difficulties
Relationship problems
Bereavement and loss
Low Self Esteem
Sexual Abuse
Personal Growth
Spiritual issues
Change of life
Domestic Violence/Abuse

I offer one to one, face to face counselling and the first session would give a client the opportunity of meeting me to see whether they feel comfortable in working with me, it also gives the opportunity to ask questions, clarify confidentiality,  share any concerns and then to decide whether counselling is the best option to take. After this initial session it can then be decided whether short-term or longer-term therapy would be best.

Therapy sessions last for 50 mins and my fee is £35 per session (this can be paid at the beginning or end of each session) and I do offer some discretionary rates (depending on circumstances). Regular attendance is important to develop consistency in the counselling relationship and we would agree a set time and day, but if you have to cancel a session I would ask for 48 hours notice or the full fee for the counselling session will have to be charged.

To ensure you receive the best possible service from me, I maintain regular Professional Supervision (which is confidential) and I also undergo regular Continual Professional Development throughout the year.
